Thornstruck

Thornstruck (★ Rare)

Category: Modifier
Species: Mantibab

A gift from a wantering fey... that's all this is. You did remember to be polite, right? Well however you recieved this boon, your mantibab's accents are adorned with, well, thorns!

  •  Thornstruck:
Sharp, spiney thorns appear along your bab's horns, nubs, and cheeks! Ouch!
🔹 Thorns are be spread out along the length of the horns, causing pain to whoever knocks against them. (horn taps are a bab's way of saying hello!)
🔹 Magic is said to go awry when cast by someone thornstruck, soft hits sometimes unintentionally dealing harsher blows. It's not quite a sickness, as it is difficult to "cure", but why would you want to do that when a benevolent fey has granted this gift to you?

❗ Thorns should be evenly spread to avoid clustering.
❗ No more than 2 thorns per nub, or 5 per cheek if space allows.
❗ Long horns do not have to have thorns along the whole length if not desired, and horns may be asymmetrical. This does not grant the "mismatched" trait to your mantibab.
